Dharmjivan Hostel at a glance...

We aim to provide conducive environment to the students for their overall development. The emphasis is given to their advancement in academics, sports and spirituality.

The specious SGVP Dharmjivan Hostel holds capacity to accommodate 500 students in 54 air-conditioned rooms which are spread over in six wings. Each room is equipped with television set, sound system for general instructions, individual beds with bed-side lights, cupboards, dressing table, desk & chair, shoe-rack, and tube-lights & fans.

It also facilitates indoor and outdoor games facilities, music room, modern computer lab with Internet facility, boilers /geysers for hot water, and R.O. plant for drinking water

Daily Schedule:

Daily routine plays an important role in the hostel life. All the activities in the schedule are designed in such a way that the day remains interesting to the students and it enhances their capacity to cope. It varies in different seasons and at times when term or annual examinations are approaching. The routine for the senior students of class X and XII is a bit relaxed and more focus on their self-study and monitored coaching is given.

Weekend Activities:

  • Inter-school friendly matches of various sports like football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc.

  • Picnics and field trips as per their classes, it is mandatory to participate in all the excursions.

  • Watching selected entertaining and educational movies/programs on LCD projector

  • Organization of intra-hostel competitions such as quiz, debate, elocution, indigenous games, etc.

  • Remedial classes for the students who need it.

The hostel celebrates various Indian traditional festivals like, Rathyatra, Rakshabandhan, Janmashthami, Independence Day, Navratri, Dussera, Diwali, Uttarayan, Republic Day, Holi-Dhuleti, etc. with enthusiasm and spiritual fragrance.
